New to the Atlanta area. I have been here for
two months now. I like the area and moved here from southeast Oklahoma. The move was to better my chances in the passion I feel for photography and to somehow advance my skills and better my work.
To possibly have my work noticed. I made my first trip to the Atlanta zoo. Something I had been wanting to do for a long time. Visit a zoo and get some great images that I could never do elsewhere.
I did get some really nice photos and overall was happy with the visit. However while in the downtown area I was hoping that I could possibly
get some street shots and there where many wonderful images to be had. It seemed like it was
a busy day with many things going on. The fox theater was doing a show and there was quite a buzz going on in that area. Also were many people out in the street. A great opportunity which passed me by as I was with another person that was doing the driving. I guess they had had enough of my passion for one day. I did capture a few shots
from the car but was somewhat disapointed when I got home to see they where no where as good as I would have liked. What can you expect when driving by and shooting out the window. There was one shot that really sickend me that I really wish I could have got. I think this was the shot of the day. One of those photos that says a thousand words!
A homeless man holding a sign that read ( No home anything helps ) I would have traded all the photos from the zoo trip if I could have just got that one shot......I feel that a piece of my soul was lost with that missed oportunity. And I also feel that I could have given this man alittle dignity with at least a good image of his life at that moment and time.

Cool stuff.
Cheers.
